CLBC CEO Shirley Seward moderated an all day workshop on workforce competencies at the recent CME Manufaturing 20/20 conference.  With concern rising that a demographic crunch will impact Canada's manufacturing sector, Ms. Seward opened the workshop with a presentation highlighting the importance of immigration, employee training and the growing demand for 'soft' skills such as problem-solving, communication and leadership.
