Workplace Health Works! - A Seminar on Innovative Workplace Health Practices in British Columbia (Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina, 1601 Bayshore Dr.)

About the Seminar

Paying attention to workplace health issues such as stress, safety and work-life balance can pay real dividends in terms of both employee health and workplace performance. In a growing number of workplaces, in British Columbia and other provinces, innovative workplace health practices are demonstrating their contribution to both employee well-being and 'the bottom line'. In an era of increasing skill shortages, workplace health initiatives can also help promote an employer as 'an employer of choice'. In this seminar, management and labour representatives of BC workplaces with innovative workplace health approaches will tell their own story about what they did, why they did it, and what the impacts have been on employee health and workplace performance.  Participants will be able to question the presenters and to discuss among themselves their own workplace health experiences.

Who Should Attend?

  • CEOs and human resource professionals;
  • personnel and occupational health and safety managers ;
  • union leaders at the regional, and local levels;
  • members of occupational safety and health committees;
  • employees and union members; and
  • others working in the area of workplace health.
